COREhealth and Marshian Sessions:
Sessions run all year round with the aim of running 44 to 48 sessions per year; there is usually a break of 2 weeks at Christmas and 1 week at easter. With the current uncertainty, the Digby hall is used for all sessions whilst other venues are closed.
All sessions are currently suspended by COVID 19 restrictions which have closed the Digby Hall once again.
Sessions upto Easter 2021 are as follows:
COREhealth (Beginners and Improvers)
|Indoors||Digby Hall||Wednesdays 19:430->19:45 - 21:15||TBA||March 31st, 2021|
COREhealth (Intermediate and Advanced)
|Indoors||Digby Hall||Thursdays 19:20->19:30 - 21:00||TBA||April 1st, 2021|
Marshians (Intermediate and Advanced)
|Indoors||Digby Hall||Wednesdays 13:50->14:00 - 15:30||TBA||March 31st, 2021|
I turn up 10 minutes before a session to open, set up and turn on heating
COREhealth Advanced sessions have been moved to Thursdays so that both Marshians and COREhealth do not occur on the same day.
COREhealth takes the current restrictions seriously; to prevent spread of COVID 19 / SARS CV2 there is both a risk assessment and an action plan:
It is the responsibility of the Lead Coach to ensure the various measures and recommendations are adhered to during Tai Chi indoor sessions. While these reasonable precautions are taken to minimise the chance of infection, all students take part in classes at their own risk.
If you would like to come and try a session, please wear light comfortable clothing that allows free movement (e.g. track suit trousers and T shirt). It is not necessary to buy particular Tai Chi clothes (such as satin/silk suits)
We find that flat bottom shoes are best for Tai Chi, They should fit well and have some grip on the bottom.
- Deck shoes and moccasin slippers are used by some members,
- Others prefer flat bottom sports or even Tai Chi Shoes from Tai Chi Link
